BRAINERD — A long-time bucket list item is now complete for one Brainerd native.

Delinda Rood grew up watching “Wheel of Fortune” with her parents. When she grew up, moved away and started relocating all over the country for her career, she continued watching the show.

“I knew that wherever I was at, if I tuned in and was watching ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ I knew Mom and Dad were also watching it,” Rood said during a phone interview on Wednesday, Oct. 29. “It was a little connection back to home, and so it just became part of my routine.”

Being on the show became a bucket list item, and when Rood turned 50, her girlfriends challenged her to finally make it a reality.

Now at 53, she can cross it off the list.

Rood’s episode of Wheel of Fortune will air Tuesday, Nov. 4.
