Srinagar, Oct 31: Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Friday adjourned the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly sine die, marking the conclusion of a nine-day session that witnessed elections to four Rajya Sabha seats from the Union Territory and the passage of several key bills.

The session, which largely proceeded smoothly except for a few noisy exchanges, saw the passage of five government bills and discussions on two private members’ resolutions.

During the sitting, the Assembly Secretariat received 732 questions, of which 682 were admitted, while 29 were taken up for discussion with 73 supplementary raised by the members. A total of 97 Zero Hour issues were also brought up during the proceedings.
