It’s the end of an era. Effective Oct. 29, 2025, Gold’s Gym announced that it had sold 23 of its SoCal locations to EōS Fitness, but its original Venice headquarters will remain open.

The Gold’s Gym brand is iconic. Over decades, the Venice Beach facility became a haven for bodybuilding talent. Known as “The Mecca of Bodybuilding,” it helped shape legendary athletes, including former seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger (who still trains there today), Franco Columbu , Lou Ferrigno , and training savant Charles Glass .
