A delegation from the Consul General of France in Atlanta visited the University of Georgia on Friday to discuss partnerships between the European country and the institution.
Anne-Laure Desjonquères is the Consul General of France in Atlanta. She and a group of French diplomats met with several departments at the University of Georgia. Desjonquères says she hopes to not only attract UGA students to study in France but also establish more joint programs here in Athens.
“We love to celebrate the 250th anniversary of independence where France played a big role--that’s the basis of our historic alliance with the US,” she said. “We also want to develop research collaborations. We have many subjects that are priority issues in common.”
