SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A developer requested that Sioux City rezone a piece of land in Sioux City’s Leeds neighborhood for industrial use and is getting pushback from residents.

The property is at 3700 Jefferson Street. Right now, it’s zoned as “General Commercial”. On Monday, the city council will consider rezoning the land to “General Industrial.”

The city’s Planning and Zoning Commission says it unanimously voted against this rezoning and has recommended that the city council deny the developer’s request.
