A 43-year-old Bothell man was charged with murdering his wife Monday by hiding under a tree for 40 minutes then shooting her several times in Shoreline, according to King County prosecutors.

Prosecutors allege that shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday, Hector Gonzalez Medina waited for his wife to get in a car registered to the couple before shooting her multiple times through the passenger side window.

After firing, he went to his van to reload the gun and fired more shots into Hana Gonzalez after she fell part way out of the truck even though he “already knew she was dead,” according to charging documents. Medina is charged with first-degree murder with domestic violence and firearm enhancements.
