Rocky River school, parish mourning tragic loss of 2nd grader

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (WOIO) - The St. Christopher School community is mourning the tragic loss of a second-grade student over the weekend.

According to a release from the Diocese of Cleveland, the school and parish leadership learned on Tuesday that Ryan Rodriguez died in a tragic accident while the family was on vacation over the weekend.

Counselors will be available at the school for students, teachers and staff.

Pastor of St. Christopher Parish, Fr. John Chlebo, is asking for prayers and support for the Rodriguez family.

“The days ahead will be unbearable for this family. Please join me in prayer asking our Lord to carry them through this dark time and do whatever you can to help them as they deal with this devastating tragedy,” Chlebo said.
