NAMPA, Idaho — The city of Nampa is seeking volunteers to help rake leaves for senior and disabled residents who require assistance.

"Rake Up Nampa" will be held on Nov. 15. The event begins with a kickoff party in the city's downtown in front of the old train depot. Teams start at 8 a.m. and the mayor's office said volunteers are usually done raking by 11 a.m.

Anyone hoping to have their yard raked must apply by November 3. Applicants must be at least 60 years old or disabled and reside within Nampa city limits. Application forms are available here.

Volunteer teams must be formed by Nov. 7. Teams need at least five people and a team leader. Volunteer team applications are available here .
