Evansville Road Signs Go Off Script
If you drove through Evansville this week and did a double take at a digital road sign, you’re not alone. Some of the city’s electronic message boards decided to play tricks on the Evansville community. Instead of the usual “ROAD WORK AHEAD” or “MERGE LEFT,” drivers were greeted with some unexpected comedy lighting up the streets.
That’s right, a few digital traffic signs were hijacked and started flashing what drivers considered funny (and definitely unofficial) messages. While the city works to figure out who’s behind the prank, it’s hard not to admit Evansville drivers got a little unexpected entertainment during their commute.
