Welcome back to “At the Game,” a feature we're producing on high school football game nights to keep readers in the loop of what's going on across the area, in as close to real time as we can manage.

Week 10 of Mountain State high school football brings a special treat: a showdown of undefeateds in Southern West Virginia. Mingo Central and Chapmanville, both 8-0, tangle on the Tigers’ turf on Friday night, looking to keep up a full head of steam with postseason play nigh.

A handful of other intriguing games locally dot the schedule, including Parkersburg-Herbert Hoover, Capital-Nitro, Winfield-Riverside and Spring Valley-South Charleston. County rivalries Cabell Midland-Huntington and Sherman-Scott are also on the docket.
