Elon Musk says Tesla’s long-awaited Roadster (like, 8 years long) is nearing a prototype demonstration—and it could feature some wild new technology. The second-gen Roadster was first announced in November 2017.
Speaking on a 3-hour long podcast released today on The Joe Rogan Experience , Musk confirmed the next-gen Roadster is still in the works. “Yes. Eventually, we’re getting close to demonstrating the prototype and I think this will be… one thing I can guarantee is that this product demo will be unforgettable,” Musk said. When asked if that meant good or bad, he added, “Whether it’s good or bad, it will be unforgettable.”
