It was heartbreak (definitely an understatement) for Toronto fans on multiple fronts Saturday night, as the Blue Jays lost Game 7 of the World Series in extra innings — and thousands of viewers saw the game vanish midstream when Rogers’ Sportsnet+ crashed (again).
The Jays fell 5–4 in the 11th inning to the Los Angeles Dodgers after a dramatic comeback by L.A., ending Toronto’s bid for its first championship since 1993. But many fans didn’t see the finish — Sportsnet+ (owned by Rogers) collapsed in the middle of the broadcast, again like it did in Game 4.
