A quad bike rider has been rescued after it appears he missed a corner and crashed down a 15-metre embankment, Tasmania Police say.
The 35-year-old was riding a Yamaha Grizzly 750cc about 9.10pm last night between Corinna and Savage River, when it appears he missed a right-hand corner and crashed down the embankment, police say.
Police said it was a "steep incline", and rescue crews rigged equipment off a vehicle to reach him.
Emergency services were assisted by the Savage River Mine Rescue, and the rider was safely retrieved about 11.30pm.
He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
