BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — He's a medical worker, a father and a soldier. And if he gets the call, he may show up at your door.

But for more than 20 years, the North Dakota National Guard has been a big part of Joshua Seil's life. But even when he's not in the full uniform, free time for Seil is a rarity.

"I like to stay busy, I like to do a lot of things," Seil said.

When talking about Josh Seil, busy is an understatement.

"Life is what you make it. It really is," Seil said.

For Seil, that life includes being a father, a physician's assistant, and a medical officer in the North Dakota National Guard.

"Honestly was just going to do six years and get out, but here I am 26 years later," Seil said.

Seil grew up in Rugby and enlisted after his brother, Chris, as he was finishing high school
