FORT DODGE, Iowa (KCRG) - Friday afternoon, Western Dubuque senior Quentin Nauman added another title to his ever-growing trophy case.

After the 3A state cross country race, he may be considered Iowa’s all-time best distance runner. Nauman ran a blistering state meet record time of 14:40.30. It’s his second state cross country championship.

In 2A, Grundy Center senior Emerson Vokes also went back-to-back, capturing his second individual title with a time of 15:42.0.

Jesse Gomez of Denver finished second to Vokes in the 2A race with a time of 16:18.5.

Elsewhere, Mary Grace Lyons of Monticello finished second in the 2A girls race, while Mount Vernon-Lisbon’s Evelyn Moeller earned third in the 3A girls race.
