To curb the deteriorating air quality in Delhi-NCR, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) took a major decision on Friday. CAQM has banned the entry of old BS-3 standard diesel trucks and goods-carrying vehicles from other states into Delhi.
CAQM issued a notice stating that all Light Goods Vehicles (LGVs), Medium Goods Vehicles (MGVs), and Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) registered in other states that do not fall under BS-6 will not be allowed entry into Delhi from November 1.
However, commercial goods vehicles from other states with BS-IV standards will be permitted entry into Delhi until October 31, 2026. There will be no restriction on the entry of commercial goods vehicles registered in Delhi, as well as CNG, LNG, or electric vehicles.
