While most people carve pumpkins for Halloween, Mars Area Elementary School students got to launch them too.
As part of their Halloween festivities Friday, Oct. 31, Mars Area Elementary School fourth graders spent part of their day making “pumpkin' chuckin'” catapults out of popsicle sticks and rubber bands, and let chunks of pumpkins fly through the air.
The pumpkin’ chuckin’ included taking measurements of the pumpkins for the fourth graders’ math class.
