New Paltz senior Dylan Friedman captured the Mid-Hudson Athletic League girls cross country title on Oct. 30 in Milton.

Running on the 3.1-mile course at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome, Friedman finished in 18 minutes, 5.9 seconds, easily outdistancing Pine Plains senior Violet Bliss by 32 seconds and Wallkill senior Caitlyn Murphy by almost 40 seconds.

Rondout senior Gypsy Wish and junior Hannah Chapin finished 4-5.

Friedman placed third in 2024 and fourth in 2023

F.D. Roosevelt posted a narrow 46-51 victory over Rondout for the girls team title. New Paltz was third at 88. The victorious Presidents placed 8-9-12-13-14 overall, with sophomore Madeline Tester, eighth-grader Julia Turner, senior Olivia Wayne and juniors Cameron Toro and Lily Broomhead.
