EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Some neighborhoods here in Evansville go all out for Halloween.
And to those in the Howell area, decorating for Halloween is no simple task.
“It’s always stressful, there’s just so much to do to get it all ready, to make everything flow,” Dennis Bedell, homeowner, said. “Not just with us, but with everything throughout the neighborhood.”
For the last 10 years, Howell resident Dennis Bedell has gone above and beyond, turning his house on Hollywood Avenue into “Howell Manor,” tapping into the history of Evansville’s West Side.
“Howell has got a unique history, and there’s a lot of that in our decorations, they’re on the columns and history to be read,” Bedell said.
Bedell starts the decorating process in May, and with larger-than-life animatronics, scare actors
