SAGINAW, MI— Valley Lutheran hosted Ithaca for the first round of the Division 7 high school football playoffs on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.

The game started out with both teams firing on all cylinders, with Ithaca taking a narrow first quarter lead 7-6 after a missed PAT from Valley Lutheran.

The second quarter was just as close, with Valley Lutheran carrying a 12-7 lead to end the half.

Coming back onto the field, Ithaca turned on the jets. They went on to score 17 unanswered points to close out the game 24-12 and advance to the next round.
