IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WROC) — It was cold. It was rainy. It was windy, but that didn’t stop Rochester trick-or-treaters from getting their candy. As a matter of fact, the Somershire neighborhood spent weeks prior to the holiday preparing for its first Halloween Block Party.

Ryan Soles, a Somershire resident, and his family could be considered experts on the neighborhood's Halloween festivities since they've been active participants for over a decade. Soles' home had all the spooky decorations one could hope for, including intricate lighting, animatronics, and festive jack-o-lanterns.
