TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Halloween falling on a Friday is expected to lead to numerous weekend parties across the Valley, prompting some police departments to increase patrols. At the same time, Airbnb uses special technology to prevent disruptive house parties being organized through the platform.
Scottsdale and Tempe are two of the police departments taking extra security measures.
“This year, our Tempe Police Department is going to get assistance from other agencies so we can have more staffing and make sure that our community is safe,” Lindsey Fernandez with Tempe Police said.
“We just want to make sure that we’re ahead of everything,” she added.
In 2022, a Halloween Party at a Tempe Airbnb erupted into gunfire. No one was injured.
