WINDBER, Pa. – Grady Shives and Hoyt Glenn scored goals while Reese Alexander was stellar in goal to lead the McConnellsburg Spartans to a 2-1 victory over Conemaugh Township in the District 5 Class 1A boys soccer championship game played at Windber Stadium, clinching the Spartans’ second straight district title in the process.

Winning back-to-back championships is a great achievement for the Spartans, but their goal is to win it all as they head to the PIAA tournament next week. ×
