DEWITT — Lucas Brandell and Jadon Bender have had a friendly competition throughout the season of who can make more big plays on defense for the DeWitt football team.

The two seniors like to joke around with each other about having the upper hand whenever a big play is made.

Both returned interceptions for touchdowns while helping DeWitt open the playoffs with a 70-13 victory over Owosso on Friday, Oct. 31.
