MESQUITE--- Following a week of adjusted schedules and inclement weather, Week 10 got underway right on schedule. Heading into the season, West Mesquite hosting Newman Smith was one of the contests circled as having potential district championship implications.

And that held true, as when the two teams met at Memorial Mesquite Stadium Friday evening, they were the two remaining undefeated teams in 6-5A D11 play.
