A night of nostalgia and music at Enrique Iglesias’ live concert in Mumbai turned sour for several fans as more than 80 mobile phones worth nearly Rs 24 lakh were stolen amid packed crowd at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, police said on Friday.

While fans were lost in the rhythm, thieves apparently took advantage of the dense crowd and dim lights. As the concert ended, several attendees realised their phones were missing.

Meanwhile, police have registered seven FIRs regarding the thefts at the BKC police station against unidentified persons and have begun investigation. “We have registered multiple cases of theft based on complaints received from concertgoers.
