The Pakistan Mili Muslim League (MML), widely regarded as the political front of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), has delayed its annual workers’ convention that was scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 2, at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore.

Sources within the Lashkar told CNN-News18 that the decision to defer the large-scale gathering was taken citing “external threats" to the organisation’s top leadership. The development comes amid heightened regional tensions and Indian military exercise codenamed ‘Trishul’, which some within the outfit believe could be linked to the postponement.
