ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — According to the Rochester Police Department, late Friday night, the body of a man was found in an upstairs apartment on Lewis Street.
Officers went to 25 Lewis Street last night, October 31, for a report of an unresponsive man at around 10:30 p.m.. Upon arrival, they found the man, in his 20s, dead from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Detectives are in the process of determining the circumstances that led to the shooting. They do not believe the victim resided at the location on Lewis Street where they were found.
Police are currently attempting to confirm the victim's identity and will provide an update as soon as it becomes available.
Currently, no suspects are in custody. The investigation continues.
