CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County residents affected by the ongoing federal government shutdown will be able to defer payments on their delinquent property tax contracts.
The Treasurer is offering a grace period to eligible taxpayers — federal employees or federal benefit recipients whose income has been disrupted by the shutdown, including a loss of SNAP assistance. Those individuals will be able to delay their monthly payments until the federal government reopens.
Missed payments will be added to the end of existing payment plans, as an extension.
