WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - After no jackpot winners in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, the prize will grow to an estimated $800 million.
Western Massachusetts lottery players tried their luck on Halloween for the $754 million jackpot. If won in Massachusetts with the cash option, the prize would have come out to a little over $246 million after taxes.
The jackpot has been steadily growing since June. One West Springfield man said if he becomes the lucky winner, he has some big plans.
"Take care of family and stuff first, of course," said Sean O'Malley of West Springfield. "But definitely gonna travel the world. I just got back from Iceland, so I got the fever going. So definitely some traveling."
Mega Millions drawings are held at 11 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday.
