WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - West Springfield voters will head to the polls on Tuesday to decide on mayoral and town council races, as well as 16 ballot questions concerning changes to the town charter.

The ballot questions arise from a mandatory charter review that occurs every decade, with the current review conducted by a committee formed by the mayor and town council. The committee has identified issues within the local constitution to correct or streamline, resulting in the 16 questions on the ballot.

"There are some changes to our initiative process or our referendum process and some other construction changes to clarifying things for a few boards and committees or how certain times is calculated," said Otto Frizzell, West Springfield Town Clerk.
