As the chocolate haze hanging over Baldwin clears, I am contentedly remembering the procession of kiddos who appeared at our door Halloween evening. They ranged from tikes to teens and were absolutely delightful, polite and creative. Teenage boys in orange jumpsuits portraying escaped prisoners with shiny smiles emanating from grills of braces, tween hot dogs, adolescent pirates and police officers and tiny princesses appeared eagerly at our door. These twilight visitors give me hope. With these bright young neighbors, we have much to look forward to.
