MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Union baristas with Starbucks Workers United plan to rally outside the Madison State Street location of Starbucks on Saturday afternoon.
The Madison location is one of 70 pickets in 60 cities across the nation.
Baristas are rallying for a fair contract and are prepared to strike if Starbucks does not listen to their demands to have improved staffing, hours, take-home pay and on-the-job protections.
The union hopes to have a contract finalized before the holiday season.
“We remain ready to negotiate whenever Starbucks is willing to bargain in good faith and offer new proposals that address our demands. For example, baristas across the country are calling on Starbucks to come back to the table and address our demands now," wrote Starbucks Workers United spokesperso
