UNION COUNTY, Tennessee — Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said agents responded to a call Saturday morning at Norris Lake, where two vessels collided, leaving one person dead.

James Bailey, 25, of Maynardville, has been identified by the TWRA as the victim who died.

According to wildlife officers, there were two individuals on each vessel when the crash happened around 8:30 a.m.

Two people were taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Bailey was initially missing, but agents said they later pulled the missing boater's body from the water.

Bailey’s body has been sent for autopsy at the direction of the medical examiner, according to the TWRA.
