I believe that there are two major issues in regard to air service at Grand Forks International Airport.
First, there are no affordable or convenient ways to travel to central and western North Dakota like Williston and Bismarck without personal transportation. I know plenty of individuals who live in Grand Forks and regularly travel to these areas in North Dakota, yet they often waste precious time since they use personal vehicles.
GFK could fill this unique market by offering daily, small aircraft budget flights to central and western North Dakota. The airport and local government should work to receive Essential Air Service funding or other types of federal funding to host airlines like Cape Air. They could even offer flights to Minneapolis-St. Paul for passengers want
