A male child was injured Friday, Oct. 31, when one of their legs became trapped under a vehicle tire in the parking lot of an Indio middle school.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, Indio Police Department officers were dispatched to John Glenn Middle School in the 79000 block of Miles Avenue. A preliminary investigation revealed that a child, who was seated in an Acura SUV, unbuckled himself for unknown reasons and opened the rear passenger door while the vehicle was still in motion. The child fell out of the vehicle, and one of his legs became trapped under the rear tire as the car came to a stop, according to the police.
