In the run-up to Kepang La Day on 17 November, the Indian Army’s Spear Corps organised the Siang Open Mini Marathon at the picturesque Vibrant Village of Tuting in Upper Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh, to honour the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1962 Battle of Kepang La.
The event, themed “Siang Mini Marathon”, witnessed the participation of over 517 runners, including personnel from the Indian Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and enthusiastic locals — schoolchildren, women, and youth.
