BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football right guard Drew Evans won't play against Maryland with an undisclosed injury.

Evans unexpectedly popped up on this week's availability report for the No. 2 Hoosiers (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) for their game against the Terps on Saturday, Nov. 1, in College Park, Maryland.

He made it back for the season-opener after suffering an achilles injury ahead of a game in early November against Michigan. Evans was tied for most snaps on the offense (534), having started all eight games this season. Per Pro Football Focus, he's only allowed four quarterback pressures this season.

Indiana sophomore Adedamola Ajani, a Speedway native, will be among the options to replace Evans in the starting lineup. He got first-team reps at left guard during the spring while Evans was
