There’s no question that Toronto is in seventh heaven.
That this World Series has gone to seven games is the only positive Blue Jays fans could take out of what was the sixth game hell in which the pain was still stinging hours later.
When the umpires called the ball dead after Addison Barger’s long drive somehow embedded itself at the base of the outfield wall, fans inside the Rogers Centre and outside felt like that had been a punch in the gut. The devastation could be felt on the street following the game, and after so many late nights, many didn’t shake off their disappointment in the morning either.
But then comes the realization that it’s not every day people get to experience Game 7 in the World Series. It’s new to Toronto for sure. We had a Game 6 back in 1993 and some big magic
