LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) is reminding residents and businesses to change their landscape irrigation clocks to follow the mandatory winter seasonal watering schedule.
Starting Sunday through Feb. 28, 2026, the winter watering schedule limits residents and businesses' sprinkler irrigation to one assigned day per week. Sprinkler watering is prohibited on Sundays.
The SNWA recommends watering plants and trees on drip irrigation systems once every seven to 14 days for 30 to 90 minutes to save even more water, and money on your monthly bills. It can also help avoid overwatering trees and plants, which need much less water than grass.
