Auburn football fans were visibly upset after the Tigers 10-3 loss to Kentucky dropped them to a 4-5 overall record this season and 1-5 record against conference opponents.
Fans all across Jordan-Hare Stadium began to exit their seats around the four-minute mark of the fourth quarter and started a ‘fire Hugh Freeze chant’ that echoed until the conclusion of the game.
Auburn coach Hugh Freeze is now 2-9 in home games during his tenure on the Plains.
“I wish I could ask for patience but that’s not really something that people want to give in this day and time, and I understand that,” Freeze said postgame. “I just know we’re so dang close and if we had a few things go our way earlier in the year, I think we’re looking at a whole different deal.”
