As we head into a new week, let's take a look at the news from this past week.
A lawsuit filed in federal District Court alleges that workers at a New Bedford seafood processing plant were forced to pay $100 a week to a plant manager to keep their jobs. It also alleges that employees living in Rhode Island contracted through an employment agency were required to pay $60 per week for transportation to the plant. The plant manager, Francisco Ixcotoyac Dionicio, is awaiting trial on separate charges of indecent assault and battery.
