A new-look UTEP basketball team tips off Monday night against UT Permian Basin with four returners mixed with 10 new players.

While that's a lot of new faces for Miner fans to learn, most of these players aren't new to college basketball. The 14-player roster includes eight juniors, three seniors and just one freshman.

Here are five players to watch for the 2025-26 season. Only one player among the five was on the UTEP roster last year.

Elijah Jones, 6-8 junior forward

Jones arrived at UTEP during the 2022-23 season from East Carolina , and made his collegiate debut the following year for UTEP. Last season he averaged 3.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game. At times he has shown sparks of something big, such as when he scored 12 and 10 points respectively in CUSA gam
