Smriti Mandhana scored the highest number of runs by an Indian player in a Women’s World Cup in the 2025 edition, during the final aganst South Africa at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.
Smriti moved past Mithali Raj, who had scored 409 runs in 2017.
Mandhana concluded the tournament as India’s top scorer and second overall, behind South Africa’s captain Laura Wolvaardt, who scored 470 runs. Mandhana accumulated 434 runs across nine innings, with an average of 54.25, including a century and two fifties, with her highest score being 109.
