Those seem like simple tips for experiencing a fulfilling life, but according to a pair of individuals who have not only had lengthy existences, but are continuing to thrive in their older age, those pieces of advice could be the key to hitting the century mark.

“Above all, laugh,” 97-year-old Lyndhurst resident Albert Ratner, a philanthropist, community builder and business leader who is co-chairman emeritus of Forest City Realty Trust, a Cleveland-based real estate investment trust, told a crowd of several hundred people at Maltz’s Museum’s “Longevity and Purpose: Keys for Living to 100 and Beyond” panel discussion, held Oct. 29 at Maltz Chapel at Congregation Mishkan Or in Beachwood.
