Rochester police have identified the man found dead in an upstairs apartment on Lewis Street late Friday as 27-year-old Lejend Watson , a city resident.

Officers were called to 25 Lewis St. around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 31 for a report of an unresponsive male. When they arrived, they found Watson in the upstairs apartment with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said no one appears to live in the upstairs apartment, but it is known as a location where drugs are sold. Police said Watson was known to spend time there.
