WICHITA, Kan. — A woman who anchored for St. Louis television station Fox 2 about 10 years ago was arrested Friday in Wichita, Kansas, for killing her mother.
Sedgwick County jail records show former anchor Angelynn Mock, 47, was booked on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of her mother 80-year-old Anita Avers.
According to a Wichita Police news release, officers responded around 8 a.m. Friday to a reported stabbing in the 1500 block of East Crowley Street. Police said Mock was located outside the house and the victim was found in bed with multiple stab wounds.
Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
Mock was also treated at a local hospital, although the news release did not say why.
