Experts are warning motorists they could find themselves in trouble if they forget to wear glasses while at the wheel.

It applies to drivers who are known to have eyesight issues and must wear glasses or contacts while driving.

These people will have modified licences after informing the DVLA, featuring the code '01'.

And while forgetting your glasses is easy done, it's serious if someone needs them in order to drive safely.

They could be putting themselves and other roads users in danger.

Anyone who is caught could be hit with a fine of up to £1,000 and three penalty points.
