MURRAY, Ky. (WSIL) -- Southern Illinois University football team clinched a victory against Murray State with a 27-7 win on Saturday.

The Salukis leaned heavily on their running game, amassing 233 rushing yards in the rainy conditions. This marked the second consecutive game where they achieved more than 230 rushing yards.

Running back Edward Robinson had 109 yards on 18 attempts, maintaining an average of 6.1 yards per carry. Quarterback DJ Williams contributed with 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Williams also threw for 171 yards and a touchdown without any interceptions.

Murray State scored their first points in the second quarter, as Ogle connected with J'Kalon Carter, bringing the score to 17-7.
