• The city of Loveland took possession of a 1.6-acre property that would allow it to connect the new River’s Edge Natural Area to Jayhawker Ponds. Loveland paid $230,000 for the property on West First Street owned since 1971 by Lee and Patricia Swisher.
• Three new people won seats on Loveland City Council, as Richard Ball, Leah Johnson and Don Overcash won election. Incumbent Mayor Cecil Gutierrez and incumbent councilor John Fogle had been unopposed and would return to their positions.
• Voters turned down two requests by the Loveland Downtown Development Authority, one to raise property taxes by 5 mills within the district boundaries and a second to incur debt of up to $75 million.
• Pam Howard, Denise Montagu, Dave Levy and Jeff Swanty won seats on the Thompson School Board as voter
